ZCF meets every Saturday at 9:00am for two 25 minute sittings separated by a 10 minute walking meditation. At 10:00am there is a dharma talk. Closing vows are performed at 11:am. Arrive a little before 9:00am or during the ten minute walking meditation, kinhin, if you come for the 2nd period of meditation. A student may stay for any segment of the practice period but preferably not arrive or leave during a sitting meditation.
Our teacher, Soshin Bruce Jewell, is a transmitted teacher of that Soto tradition. He has also studied in the Japanese Rinzai tradition and the Tibetan Kagyu tradition. Private practice talks are available with Sensei Jewell upon request. Private practice talks should be made before Saturday sitting begins or by phone or email. See “Contact Us” for further information.
